Woohoo, that was quite a bit of work. And believe me: the sewing didn´t take me half as long as it took me to edit the photos... Shirt and skirt are made with self-made patterns. The drawing on my hands is inspired by the creepy character of "Pan´s Labyrinth". I´m just the friendly version of it. At least I try to be... Hahaha!!!

I went to the last life drawing session for this year on monday. After so much drawing I really should do one or two sewing projects till life drawing starts again. But first of all there´s something like christmas... Whatever we´re going to do on this day of the days.

As Melbourne is the capital of the beautiful state Victoria there are loads of cute little victorian buildings around. I lo-lo-lo-love this style combined with the lush exotique flora! I just have a pic of my favourite house (somewhere in Glen Eira) in this post and two pics of blooming trees, which you can see in every street, to give you an imagination of what spring (almost summer) in Melbourne is like. I also may introduce you to the amazing artwork of Colette Calascione. She does life drawing in a quite victorian style which is more than fitting to the topic of this and some of the previous posts. You can look her paintings up at her homepage as well which is:

Two more drawings I especially like and would love to share! And, oh my god, I spend ages colouring the pattern of the first drawing. I actually always hated painting by numbers where you neatly had to fill in section after section. At least I felt free in my choice of colour with this drawing :-)

The first drawing shows el Björno who had the patience to sit an entire hour without moving against this tree. Thx!
And the second picture is a portrait of Saku. The drawing doesn´t even show half of her beauty. Maybe I can get her volunteering again...
Now as I see it all on the blog I realize, how much input the former input post really hold for me. I thought it was all about the structure and the patterns. But it were actually the colours that influenced me. Bloody subconciousness!

Björn and I did a day trip to Philipp Island on monday where I could get some nature made (ehm,... apart from the wooden stairs, of course) input. I like especially the structures of the rocks. One point on my to-do-list is to create a colourful pattern inspired by them.
I´m uploadinng new pictures of drawings tomorrow, by the way.
